I love that Burlesque has re-emerged in popularity (thanks Dita!) and have put together a Styling Guide to celebrate it’s return. Knit up our sexy Trish Corselette and Madeline wrap, then accessorize with items from around the web. (The huge ostrich feather fan is so awesome!!)

Styling Guide- Burlesque Beauty
July 19, 2012Rockin’ Stockin’!
November 16, 2011There is still plenty of knitting time before Christmas, so to celebrate I’ve designed this elegant wool stocking! Until Nov 20th, get the pattern AND kit (a $20 value) free with any purchase of $75 or more from our site. The 17″ x 6″ stocking is knit on 2 needles from the toe up, embroidered with duplicate stitch, then satin ribbon is woven through the eyelets for a festive touch.

Knitting is sexy; proof positive.
February 5, 2011How is it that I see lingerie where others see turtlenecks and heavy jackets?
Maybe it has something to do with living in a part of California that rarely allows the wearing of heavy wools and outerwear. Seriously, I didn’t even own a raincoat until just this season.
Sooooo, when designing, my mind turns to more body-conscious ways to use the same old yarn and needles.
Welcome the Kimber Bustier and Panty set.
Wear this sexy set for intimate evenings, or just the bustier under a jacket for an unusual top. Either way, you’re cable ready!

Won’t You Be Mine, Valentine?
January 31, 2011My husband is one of the few men I know that looks forward to Valentine’s Day. The notion of having a special day every year to celebrate being in love puts a spring in his step and a twinkle in his eye for the whole event, whether we do something special or just spend the day being together. He is truly a romantic soul and I’m lucky to have him.
His wonderful attitude inspired this little goodie. I knitted it for me, but you and I both know it’s really for him.
And now you can make it for you and yours, or a friend or daughter. The pattern is available for download right now on my Ravelry shop and the yarn (which can be a little hard to find) is here. Have a lovely Valentine’s Day!!!
Vintage Lingerie Fashion Video
November 11, 2009Just some fun undie fashions from the Fab Forties. Enjoy!
Zelda: She of the Fab Forties and the cover of Yarn Forward #15
June 17, 2009Oh yes, I do love my vintage chic circa 1944.
Shoulders were strong but femme, necklines were sweet and the sweater girl was the pin-up princess of the day. A pair of pretty little lace patterns winding over and around the girlish topograpy was enough to set a young man’s heart afire.
My Zelda, she can be yours too. Find her in the latest issue of Yarn Forward Magazine #15 or right here.
Stitches West-2009
February 14, 2009For those of you knitters who have never been to a Stitches event, you really must try to get to one if for nothing else but the shopping experience the marketplace provides. It is true fiber-sensory overload and not to be missed!
If you find yourself in or near Santa Clara, California on February 27th, here’s a discount coupon to help get you in. Right click on it to print.

White Lies Designs will be in booth # 92 this year, right along the front wall.
This is one of the newest styles I’ll be showing; sexy Victorian inspired over-the-knee stockings.
Worked from the toe up on size 3 needles in our own hand dyed superwash wool, the Marlaina stockings are a surprisingly quick and entertaining knit.
Cover Girl!
May 2, 2008
I was so pleased to walk into my local Joann Fabrics yesterday to pick up the latest issue of Belle Armoire magazine and see my own Rita Mae design on the cover!
They were also kind enough to give me eight pages of garments from my book Knitting Lingerie Style and a great interview.
I’ve always enjoyed this magazine as it’s full of fun design ideas, jewelry and essentially all the girly things I love. I was very pleased to be included!
