Hi Joan,
Your blog is wonderful! I am so sorry to hear about your mother - I recently lost my dad and also have child with autism (Aspergers) so I feel I could relate to your life immediately. I just bought your book which I love and was working on the silk slip when I had a question about the first instruction. Should I repeat the 4 row lace pattern once or four times (for a total of 16 rows) before beginning the ss instructions. I was confused because when I knit 16 rows the lace looked so much larger and wider that it did in your book. I am using a different yarn (Rowan cashsoft baby) but the gauge was the same. Thanks Ariel
